The making of a coffee cup with an ergonomic handle from start to finish designed by Thomas Clever.

How can the cup be produced in porcelain despite the undercut of the handle?

Due to the shrinkage of the heated porcelain, the mold must be created 16% larger than the finished product.
The wall thickness of the later cup is created by pouring out the excess porcelain mass in a precisely timed manner.
It is ideal as a customisable advertising medium, as well as for anniversaries and as a lasting gift for other special occasions. The unique, beautiful and ergonomic shape is even stackable.
Many thanks to Jürgen Sogemeyer and especially Jan Arndt, without whom the development and realization of the cup would not have been possible.
